Founded by FA Youth Award & UEFA B Coach
Matt played for Colchester United from age 5 – 19 where he captained every youth academy team & won 6 player of the year awards in a row. Age 12, Matt received a 4 year contract at the club. Age 14 he was playing with the under 18s & age 15, Matt was training with Colchester United First Team. That same summer he ruptured his ACL.
After surgery & an 18 month rehabilitation lay off, Matt returned to playing & was offered a full time coaching role within Colchester United’s Academy & attained his FA Youth Module 1, 2, 3, FA Youth Award & UEFA B Coaching Licences. During this time, Matt played semi-professional football for Bishop’s Stortford where he won the double with now ex-Newcastle United striker, Dwight Gayle.
Age 21, Matt moved to the USA to undertake a 4 year soccer scholarship where he would captain NAIA collegiate soccer university William Carey from unranked to The Number 1 Team in the Nation. After attaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, Matt would go onto coach at the likes of LA Galaxy, Chicago Fire & Houston Dynamo. He returned to The UK in early 2023 for personal reasons & subsequently set up TPFC in order to help train aspiring young players that wanted to learn the game to the highest levels.
Foundation Phase - Ages 4-9
The Professional Football Clubs’ foundation phase from ages 4 – 9 years old takes infants into the early stages of the game whilst developing key & fundamental skills.
Youth Phase - Ages 10-15
The Professional Football Clubs’ youth phase continues the development by mixing fundamentals with adolescence in ages 10 – 15 years old & training players’ further on what it takes to be elite.
